I was approached at the end of last year's hockey season by Parker Sport and Gear Cleaning Services as they assured me that they could clean my hockey equipment like no one else could. I was quite skeptical as I had tried a whole host of cleaning supplies already and my equipment would never retain a clean smell for longer than 2-3 uses. I was at the stage where I was seriously contemplating new equipment just to eliminate the stench. In spite of this, I decided to give them a chance and went ahead and had both my and my son's equipment cleaned. I can honestly tell you that I couldn't be happier. It is now 3 months later and my equipment still has a clean smell. Considering that I have played twice a week over this period I think that is quite remarkable. My son's equipment is in similarly good condition. I would highly recommend this process to anyone. The service was quick and quite professional. All materials were clearly itemized and accounted for post cleaning. I fully intend on using this service annually.

I've played and coached hockey for over 25 years and have endured the bad smell and contaminants associated with hockey equipment. After having my gear cleaned with the Esporta Wash System at your premises, I was very impressed with the results. I'm pleased to know my equipment is sanitary and free of potentially hazardous bacteria. It's also nice to leave the arena without carrying the scent of hockey gloves on my hands.

 

 

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the excellent service that we received in cleaning our hockey gear. I have two teenage boys playing travel hockey 2-4 times a week each. Quite often, the equipment has less than 24 hours to dry out properly and the resulting "hockey gear" smell is something we just came to live with. We tried another cleaning service but it came back smelling even worse than before.

 

When I spoke to Barb and she explained how the Esporta system worked and how they tested the bacteria level before and after the cleaning, I felt we had nothing to lose. When we received both my sons' sets of equipment back, the difference was astounding. There was absolutely no trace of bad odour, only a mild fresh scent. It has been over 2 months since they were cleaned and the equipment still smells incredibly clean after all this time.

 

I then approached Barb about a more difficult task. No piece of hockey equipment smells as bad as leather hockey gloves. She offered to clean the entire set of our gloves from the St. Clair Men's Hockey team and promised the same results as my sons' equipment. I don't know who was more sceptical, our players or myself. I believed that the gloves were too far gone and couldn't be cleaned. They came back and they had that same clean, fresh scent. Our players wanted to know when they could get the rest of their equipment cleaned the same way.

 

I would tell all hockey parents to have their son's or daughter's equipment cleaned at least 2 times a year and I would highly recommend using Parker Sport & Gear Cleaning for this task.
